Problem Statement:

Around 788 children under the age of 14 died in pools nationwide.

Between 2019 and 2021, 788 children under the age of 14 died in pools nationwide. Every swimming pool cannot have a lifeguard. Security cameras are also not helpful as they provide passive surveillance and cannot save a drowning person.

About the Innovation:

Young inventors from DiscoverSTEM innovated an intelligent system that detects if anyone is drowning in the pool.

Once a drowning individual is detected, the system launches the life-saving devices and propels them to the person in danger and brings them to safety, without any human interference, thereby saving the life of the drowning person.
