Problem Statement:

Nearly 80% of people do not drink enough water, leading to several serious health issues.

It is a significant concern for vulnerable populations like the elderly and young children, who may be less aware of their hydration needs. There is no way to track the exact amount of water consumed by an individual in a family.

About the Innovation:

Young inventors from DiscoverSTEM developed an intelligent system that detects and records the exact amount of water consumed by every member of a family.

The system identifies the user of the smart drinking glass using a registered fingerprint and then detects the amount of water consumed by weight difference before and after consumption. This smart tumbler also detects if the water is poured and not consumed by the user, thus creating a family dashboard of the exact amount of water consumption by everyone in the family.
