Problem Statement:
Sampling perfumes is often inconvenient.
Shoppers must visit stores to test scents or wait for mailed vials—both time-consuming and wasteful. Physical samples are costly, generate packaging waste, and don’t always capture the true fragrance experience. This makes choosing perfumes inefficient and unsustainable, creating a need for a faster, eco-friendly way to preview scents before buying.
About the Innovation:
This young inventor at DiscoverSTEM created a compact Perfume Dispersing Device with a plurality of scents that redefines fragrance sampling.
Connected to a smartphone via an audio jack, it lets users pick scents through an app. An internal compressor pressurizes an air tank and directs mist through preloaded perfume holders and nozzles. The result: quick, clean, and personalized perfume sampling—without waste or hassle.
