DiscoverSTEM Batch: DiscoverSTEM Innovation Program (DIP) 2019-20
Abdullah Hasani worked at Dell Technologies as a Software Engineering Intern during the summer of 2023. He has worked for DiscoverSTEM for 2 years as a lead innovation facilitator. He led over 15 teams to innovate solutions to real-world problems, with patents being filed for most of the innovations. Abdullah also led the Aerospace and Brain-Computer Interface Labs, with a published work on a solution to increase the mobility of fully paralyzed individuals.
He has also interned at Raytheon over the summer of 2022 as a machine learning and software development intern. Abdullah is active in student organizations at UTD, most notably in the UTD chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery where he is the organizing team for HackUTD, the largest hackathon in Texas and third largest in the United States.
He also led the development of HackPortal, an open-source hackathon management platform used at HackUTD by 1000+ people and other organizations and companies all over the United States. In his free time, he enjoys working on personal projects, such as an avionics project to develop an Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System, as well as travelling, running and reading.
